Terms of Use

The service

This website provides a free typing speed test for personal practice and self-measurement. By using it, you accept these terms.

What scores mean

Scores are practice measurements calculated with the published formulas on the Scoring Methodology page. They are honest estimates of your speed on this test — not an official certification, and they do not guarantee any job or exam outcome.

Fair use

• Use the test as much as you like, for free.
• Do not attempt to disrupt the site or misrepresent automated traffic as human use.
• Content on this site (texts, passages and code snippets in the tests) is provided for use within the tests.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as-is, without warranties. We work to keep it fast and correct, but we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on a practice score.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the current version always lives on this page.
