      Why practise numbers separately?

Letters are only half the keyboard. This test is a stream of number groups, decimals and figures — start typing to measure your number speed.

Number typing is its own skill: the top row of the keyboard gets far less daily practice than letters, and jobs in data entry, accounting and logistics live on that row. Most people type numbers at barely half their letter speed until they practise deliberately.

Type the figures in small groups instead of digit by digit, and keep your eyes on the text, not your hands. A few one-minute rounds a day on this page close the gap surprisingly quickly. If your keyboard has a numeric keypad, this test is a good place to build that habit too.
